Please note, due to the current COVID restrictions in place for singing, we have reluctantly taken the decision to postpone the NSSO Chorus to 2022.

The NSSO Chorus offers enthusiastic choral singers of secondary school age the opportunity to take part in unique projects and performances alongside the NSSO Orchestras.

The NSSO Chorus made its debut with NSSO Philharmonic, celebrating our 25th anniversary, singing the Verdi Requiem at Symphony Hall, Birmingham in July 2019 under the baton of Richard Dickins (NSSO Principal Conductor).

The week-long course at Malvern runs alongside the three orchestras, big band and conducting courses.  There are daily rehearsals and vocal coaching as well as masterclasses and workshops with Patron, Stephen Darlington and Chorusmaster Jonathan Brown.

There are no formal auditions and applicants are accepted on the recommendation of school Directors of Music and/or singing teachers.
